The silent disco (Jagermeister Bar Staff Incentive party)

SONY DSCEver heard of a silent disco, well you’re not alone because I hadn’t either up until last night. The concept is simple, creative and it works! Last night I captured the action at the Jagermeister Bar Staff Incentive party at The Star Bar hotel in South Melbourne. The Kräuterlikör liqueur flowed freely amongst the patrons while donning headphones listening to one of three DJs pumping out a diverse genre of dance music. The silent disco has a certain verbal irony about it because, without headphones you can’t hear the music yet you still hear what everyone is saying…..or singing!SONY DSC

As said earlier, the concept works well because, by changing channels on the headset, you decide what you want to listen to and at your preferred volume.  Everyone dances while listening to different tunes but for most of us when it comes to dance moves, it’s all the same movements on the floor. For those choosing to have a chat with friends, simply remove the headset and chat! Perfect!

The layout of the Star Bar hotel lends itself well for such an occasion with its various seating and dancing areas. The staff were kept busy behind the bar and Jagermeister promotional girls made sure patrons were well catered for while helping promote the brand. An ice sculpture added an interesting attraction as shot size drinks were be poured through the frozen art form giving receivers on the other end a chilly refreshment.

The pace of the night never let up seeing many a party goer continue on after till who knows when. With its new range of RTDs on the market and many having sampled its delectable flavours last night, I’m sure you’ll find your local drinking hole catering for the new Jagermeister range so why not broaden your preferences and try one!

Party on!

Cheers,

Greg
